UXBRIDGE FIRE STATION

The new 16,000 sf fire station for the Township of Uxbridge and Uxbridge Fire Services is really taking shape now!  To help serve the growing population, the new fire station will consist of four (4) double drive-thru vehicle bays, indoor and outdoor training facilities, an emergency operations centre, administrative offices and other support service areas.  Concept plans are available on the Township of Uxbridge website.  Construction of the new station is on schedule and is slated to open this coming fall.

RITSON ROAD AFFORDABLE SENIORS HOUSING

Construction is well underway at Ritson Residence.  This new four-storey, 75 unit apartment complex is being constructed to serve the affordable seniors housing market in Oshawa as part of the Government of Canada, Province of Ontario, Region of Durham and City of Oshawa’s Investment in Affordable Housing program.  Mahogany Management has an impressive history developing quality, tenant-focused affordable housing.  They’ve begun taking applications for the February 2017 opening and IPM is thrilled to be a part of this important project to provide quality affordable housing for seniors in the city of Oshawa!

WEST-END FACILITY RENOVATION

IPM was retained by an undisclosed public utility to assist in their Facilities Consolidation Project.  This capital program involves the conversion of an existing 191,000 sf facility to accommodate and consolidate existing operations.  The project began with detailed property investigations, feasibility studies and concept designs in order to select the most suitable location.  The project is being completed in phases and started with a full interior demolition and a roof lift before proceeding with building shell and interior renovations.  Construction is progressing well and occupancy is scheduled for late 2016.

HARMONY HILL RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

IPM would like to express our sincerest congratulations to the Owners and residents of Harmony Hill Retirement Community as they celebrate their official Grand Opening today!  IPM has had the pleasure of working with Benson Street GP Limited for the last several years on the development of this large-scale, high-end retirement living residence right from tendering for an Architect to construction administration throughout the 2 year construction period.  We are thrilled to have been part of this great project and look forward to working with this team again in the future.  Congratulations!

PICKERING OPERATIONS CENTRE

Approval to proceed has been granted and the design stage is about to commence for the new $24M Pickering Operations Centre.  This project will consist of administration offices, a garage building, sand, salt and exterior open.  IPM will work with the City of Pickering and the Design Team to guide the process from beginning to end.  We look forward to working on this exciting new project.

CUSTOM FENCE IN DOWNTOWN TORONTO

Now that’s a fence!  IPM has always prided ourselves on the variety of projects we’ve had the opportunity to assist with.  We were approached by a Client to coordinate the provision of a secure parking area for staff at their historical location in downtown Toronto.  We had no idea that this would be a fence like no other!  They wanted an enclosure that was a piece of art and a feast for the eyes while serving the dual purpose of chronicling the 100+ year history of this prestigious corporation.  The fence was custom designed, custom built and required unique steel fabrication techniques and lighting to highlight the numerous historical photos chronicling the long history embedded into the fence design.  Congratulations for creating a one-of-a-kind fence and allowing IPM to be part of this unique and innovative project.
